Ce film est aujourd\u2019hui consid\u00e9r\u00e9 \u00e0 la fois comme un chef-d\u2019oeuvre et comme un embl\u00e8me des possibilit\u00e9s offertes par l\u2019av\u00e8nement du num\u00e9rique. Wang Bing n\u2019a cess\u00e9 ensuite de travailler de la m\u00eame fa\u00e7on, clandestinement et en s\u2019attachant \u00e0 des sujets pour le moins difficiles : la r\u00e9pression \u00ab anti-droiti\u00e8re \u00bb (<em>Fengming, chronique d\u2019une femme chinoise<\/em> et <em>Le Foss\u00e9<\/em>), l\u2019extr\u00eame pauvret\u00e9 (<em>L\u2019Homme sans nom<\/em> et <em>Les Trois Soeurs du Yunnan<\/em>), la vie au sein d\u2019un h\u00f4pital psychiatrique (<em>\u2018Til Madness Do Us Part<\/em>).Dans cet entretien, le cin\u00e9aste chinois raconte son enfance, sa d\u00e9couverte de la politique au moment des \u00e9v\u00e9nements de Tian\u2019anmen, ses \u00e9tudes, l\u2019aventure d\u2019<em>\u00c0 l\u2019Ouest des rails<\/em>, sa rencontre avec Fengming, les difficult\u00e9s du <em>Foss\u00e9<\/em>\u2026 Il parle longuement de sa conception du cin\u00e9ma, de sa m\u00e9thode et des exp\u00e9riences partag\u00e9es aupr\u00e8s de ceux qu\u2019il filme.
